A partylist lawmaker has filed a bill that seeks to ban from the local market the artificial sweeteners that contain food additive aspartame, which is reportedly dangerous to health.

Polio legacy lingers long (Manawatu Standard, New Zealand, 4 September 2008) Thursday 04. of September 2008 Age: 22 hrs

They survived a disease that caused terror wherever it struck and were so determined to be "the same as other people" afterwards, that they now have difficulty convincing doctors they are still ill.

 

The "they" are the survivors of poliomyelitis, or polio and many are dealing with new symptoms of the illness decades after the original onset.
